Happy to share that I successfully presented my research on cardiac dynamical systems at the XLIV Dynamics Days in Bremen. Great discussions and valuable insights with fellow experts! #DynamicsDays#CardiacResearch#Bremen2024
Seven surprising #research ideas have been awarded a EUR 50,000 Open Mind grant. This funding will allow researchers to implement their research plan for a year. ๐ winners and research ideas on our site: https://t.co/Nm4qJ7niec
Happy to have succesfully presented my latest #research towards translational explorations of biological defibrillation during the #basicscience#genetic session at #EHRA2024 !
@ajrogers_md@S_NarayanMD@StanfordCVI@CircRes@LUMC_Leiden Congratulations with this beautiful editorial placing trapped reentry in a wider clinical perspective, highlighting that it blurs the distinction between triggers and substrates!
๐ฌExploring AF through optogenetics: Our editorial delves into De Coster et al.'s study on 'electrically isolated conduction pathways.' Insights into future ablation strategies await. ๐ @S_NarayanMD, @StanfordCVI, @CircRes, @LUMC_Leiden

In this interdisciplinary study we @Hartcentrum@LUMC_Leiden reveal the existence and features of "trapped reentry", i.e. localized reentrant activity coexisting with sinus rhythm. This local reentry could escape to cause sudden onset of global #arrhythmia.
