@KRoelandschap @elonmusk So it doesn’t like to be charged to 100%- it hurts the battery. But because of the flat Voltage curve, it is necessary every now and then to calibrate the BMS. But it definitely is NOT good for the battery. Reducing the time above 90% is critical to minimize. Even for LFP

@KRoelandschap @elonmusk Just in case you’re unaware. Even for LFP the lower the SOC the better. 100% is strictly needed to calibrate the BMS for accurate reading. Doing that every few cycles is completely fine but once a week is way too much for degradation (unless you drive like 2k per week)

You know that each polynomial is (x-a)(x-b) and the constant in each term is ab and the coefficient of x is -(a+b). Seeing the solution to each term takes max 3 seconds and then you just cancel out the 2 equal parts.

I was talking about the general model selection in AI studio, not Deep Research, because I still didn’t figure out where I can select the model in the new overlay.

I will try out the new Deep Research soon tho, looking forward to the upgrades over the previous version :)

On another note, do you plan on releasing a desktop Gemini app? The ChatGPT app with the floating/transparent chat that I can have open on top of other full-Screen apps is the only thing keeping me away from canceling my OAI subscription and going with only Gemini at this point it is just so convenient to use.

Love all the products that the Gemini team has been cooking lately :)

@kimmonismus current GPT4o reply style is horrendous. Its so bad. It makes we feel as if I was a middle school student getting lessons from a private tutor.
