Today as expected the independent Reserve Bank board increased interest rates by a quarter of a percent. In their statement they’ve pointed to the war in the Middle East and the AI boom as the key upward pressures on inflation.

We know a lot of Australians are under pressure and this will make things harder. Inflation and interest rates are going up around the world but we know that doesn’t take the sting out of today’s decision.
