What is the cost of leadership?
It costs $0 to say “hello.”
It costs $0 to pick up trash
It costs $0 to say “please.”
It costs $0 to be kind
It costs $0 to say “thank you.”
It costs $0 to encourage others
It costs $0 to smile
Lead by Example.
It costs nothing.
"Loyalty is the foundation of a strong coaching staff. As an Assistant Coach, your dedication and commitment to the PROGRAM are invaluable." -- Brian Stanchak
Parenting is hard.
It’s hard not to give in.
It’s hard to say no when yes is easier.
It’s hard to hold boundaries when you’re tired and they’re upset.
But here’s what’s even harder later for them:
when boundaries were never built,
when attention is fragile,
when impulse control is shaky,
when the world expects skills they never practiced.
Choose your hard.
Hard now or hard later.
But later is always harder on a child.
Parenting isn’t about choosing what’s easy.
It’s about choosing the hard that prepares them for life.
“Watch out for the snakes around you—those who watch you, laugh with you, never argue with you, but when the moment comes, they’ll bite the hell out of you.”
@briankight The event is neutral. Your meaning and action shape everything. Build the skill of choosing clarity over chaos before life tests you.
This little reminder helps me.
You still have a dozen really hard stretches of life ahead of you. This is indisputably true and unavoidable. Hard, life-shaping stuff is coming. How are you preparing? How strong are you to endure? How skilled are you to succeed through the inevitable crises ahead?
Met with the leadership team at @TheodoreBobcats this morning to review the components of the state report card. The team had great questions and made excellent connections to generate next steps! Excited to see their continued progress! @MobilePublicSch@tim_hardegree@ALSDEOSI
