My new book 'From Soviet Bouquets To Shed Banners - Chelsea In Europe 1945-1971' is out.
It covers Chelsea's incident-strewn European adventures from Moscow Dynamo 80 years ago to Athens triumph in 1971.

Bobby Tambling scored the first Chelsea goal I ever saw. Prolific scorer under Tommy Doc. Much loved by supporters of my generation.
Met him a couple of times in later years, an absolute gentleman. Always happy to talk to supporters. A lovely, humble man.
RIP and thank you.
@legsidelizzy Bought Day One Lords test tickets for my son and I late last year, as I do every year. Decided on Compton Upper. Which may turn out to have been a mistake.
I see the N4 blue tick boys are banging on about having 23m viewers (inc a supposed 16m dodgy feed viewers) watching them lose to PSG.
Having been been knocked out of the 1970 FA Cup by Blackpool, Arsenal weren't involved in that FACF replay, when 28m watched Chelsea beat Leeds
@SteveGee164 Tbh, you could easily be talking about Chelsea, Steve. No stadium news, no front of shirt sponsor here either. We have not even announced ticket prices for next season.
Just had an email from the club about the new kit, something I genuinely could not care less about.
What I do care about is ticket pricing for next season, yet still no club announcement, weeks after many other clubs have announced theirs and put their ST's on sale. Why?
@poynej62 An announcement wouldn't kill them.
I am pretty sure STs have been on sale by now in previous seasons. They have to give 2-3 weeks for renewal, then presumably the seats not renewed are then offered to members with most LPs. That all takes time.
