The strongest protection for "taxpayer" dollars is for "taxpayers" to keep their own dollars.
That way fraudsters and scam artists posing as a consensual government can't steal, squander, or misuse it.
.@USTreasury continues to transform how the federal government protects taxpayer dollars by using better data, stronger controls, and advanced technology to stop fraud and improper payments before money goes out the door.
In the past year alone, Treasury built and deployed new safeguards that verified more than $3.7 trillion in federal payments and increased Do Not Pay access from 4 percent of programs to 99 percent, ensuring agencies have access to the data they need. We are moving beyond ‘pay and chase’s and making prevention the federal government’s first line of defense.

I had Hermes do an evaluation, and this is what it came up with.
Session-wide metrics (from /metrics, MTP-inclusive)
- Decode (effective): **44.8 tok/s**
- Prefill (large-batch sustained): **813 tok/s**
- Draft acceptance: **73.5%** (9806 accepted / 13354 proposed)
- Per-position acceptance: pos0 85% · pos1 72% · pos2 62%
How do you get that summary?
MTP seems to have helped pretty dramatically for decode: Just under 2x what I was getting (this is with Qwen 3.8 27b Q4 KM loaded).
I still think this is slower than I could get if I wasn't using WSL and was using an optimized setup in real stand alone linux.
Sort of.
When good people don't have guns, evil people feel empowered to commit evil acts.
The other day, we got lucky and a good person had a gun present and stopped the evil person.
@Pingone3 The idea of voting itself is an affront to natural rights, and is often used to restrict the free exercise of rights, including self defense.
Pick up a gun and defend them, then, or you're both a coward and a hypocrite.
Murdering the kids is already illegal. No gun law you could pass including a full ban would prevent people interested in causing harm from doing it.
Conversely, EVERY GUN LAW YOU PASS MAKES IT EASIER FOR BAD ACTORS TO MURDER by taking away the greatest deterrent - distributed defensive force.
Are people not tired of seeing children’s lifeless bodies due to gun violence?
Are people not tired?
Why are we living in a country where we still do not have proper gun control laws?
@johnsonstickk I do need to give that a shot, it would make Q3.8 27b a lot more fun to work in. I'm also using Ornith 1.5 35b A3b and getting in the 70tok/s range also without MTP etc. I suppose I should activate it on that model as well to see how the results change.
I mean really we don't even need that, just restore incentives to NOT act out this way by showing them they WILL face rapid, overwhelming resistance.
Many of them DO intend to be taken out, but they nearly invariably want that to happen on their own terms, not immediately by a victim.
@johnsonstickk On paper there's not much difference since both are memory bandwidth limited on decode.
It would be interesting to try each on an optimized installation side by side.
@johnsonstickk On decode with Qwen 3.8 27b Q6, I'm getting low 20s for tok/s, but in defense of the card, I've got a really cobbled together setup in WSL so I'm pretty confident I'm leaving a fair amount of performance on the table with this setup vs a clean Linux install.
That's where I'm at. I have one R9700 currently filling the one lane this board offers.
This machine was a prebuilt that originally came with an RTX 5060, but I underestimated how interesting this would be and the budget didn't support better at the time anyway - it's still a massive upgrade vs the 2016 gaming laptop I had been on.
Next stop for me is server-town I guess.
If you claim to care about kids, but you won't pick up a gun to defend them, you're both a coward and a hypocrite.
Also, why is a S. Asian account spreading anti gun propaganda to Americans?
One wonders if some NGOs still have funding, or if this is a privately funded op.
The number one killer of children in America is guns. Not cancer. Not red food dye. Not an immigrant. The most likely way you will lose your child is to gun violence.
How could every mother not be a single issue voter for that reason alone?
WHAT COULD BE MORE IMPORTANT!?
