I am a fan of this project because of it's relatability. I can recall several occasions navigating poorly-coded government websites in which I felt that I would be able to design the site better, and this project actualizes that notion! #CapstoneFair
Enabling constraints are one of the defining factors in video games, especially in the first few decades. The reason The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker was set in an ocean is because that was the only way the GameCube could process a continuous open world smoothly. #dcc105
Bob Dylan's Nobel Prize speech:
"So what does it all mean? Myself and a lot of other songwriters have been influenced by these very same themes. And they can mean a lot of different things. If a song moves you, that’s all that’s important."

The distinction between encouraging convergent thinking and divergent thinking is, in my mind, one of the key ways of categorizing video games. Think of early RPGs where you have to find the exact item to solve the puzzle, while many newer games allow for many solutions.

Fear not. It is completely normal for a person to become more and more self-conscious about their inability to draw as they age:

If you have a broken piece of tech and you replace the broken parts, and then a different part breaks and you replace those broken parts, and you continue the cycle until every part has been replaced, is it still the same device?

An interesting case study of giving kids Internet with game consoles is Miiverse, aka Nintendo's own Internet they could monitor. Parents let their kids surf Miiverse without fear of finding anything undesirable, but Miiverse lasted only a few years due to unpopularity. #dcc105
Two summers ago I went on a service trip to the Dominican Republic, and I was awed by the extreme poverty of people living in bateyes there. However, I remember being surprised to see children who live in cheap wood and corrugated tin houses watching TV cartoons at home. #dcc105
@DylanBDCC Not a good exchange in my opinion. I find myself wishing that I could charge my iPhone and use headphones at the same time way more often than I find myself thankful that I can dunk my iPhone underwater.
There is an idea among economists called the resource curse, in which countries with lots of natural resources tend to have less economic growth and development than countries without (https://t.co/eynDRP2WIK). This idea seems to apply to coltan mining in the DRC. #dcc105
One of the big reasons why keeping the Internet running is an urgent safety concern is that the 911 network can go down. This has happened before. Imagine the entire United States unable to call 911. A catastrophe in the truest sense of the word. #dcc105
Another way your location affects how you experience the Internet: a lot of online video games over the years have used region locking to limit who you can play with online based on where you live.
