Beautiful apartment w/COLD PLUNGE. Unlimited free groceries from Bristol Farms, Whole Foods & Trader Joe’s and on Wednesdays they get fresh flowers including orchids! That’s why her apartment is filled with beautiful plants and flowers (which we pay for).

She can stay there forever, never getting off drugs, never working, living a pretty decent life in the heart of the Santa Monica tourist district all on our dime.

Santa Monica recently destroyed a massive parking structure next to this to build a luxury homeless condo complex for nearly $2 MILLION/unit & they’re soon knocking down a second one for the same thing.

They’re turning the ice skating rink nearby into homeless & low income housing, as well as knocking down Bergamot Station, the largest public arts complex in the west.

The city is effectively bankrupt - can’t even keep libraries open and is short hundreds of police - but they can come up with the money for this, attracting more homeless voters to guarantee they stay in office forever.

When Paramount leaves, all they need is one good quarter, and the floodgates will open. Every studio will leave. Nothing anchors the film industry to CA anymore, and if the bean-counters can make movies cheaper in TN, plus pay no income tax? Game over.

You used to need to be in LA if you wanted to be in the business. All the studios were physically there, and all the celebrities lived there: LA had the status. But now, everyone is leaving. LA isn’t cool anymore. Spielberg doesn’t live there anymore, Mel Gibson’s house burned down, Nic Cage’s driveway collapsed…why stay here and do battle with naked drug zombies and hours of traffic every day?

Studios are pragmatic. They prioritize the bottom line. They relocate to film in Hungary because they can shave a few bucks off their budgets…once Paramount pumps out a few movies that are in the black a month faster because they have less overhead in Tennessee…it’s going to be an instantaneous departure for everyone.

On Constitution Day & Citizenship Day, @GavinNewsom released a proclamation that quietly treats citizenship as optional.

Read the highlighted sentence carefully:
“the fundamental rights and freedoms enshrined in our Constitution were denied to large swaths of the population for generations.”

Not citizens.

Population.

He opens by saying the nation “derives its power from its people,” then immediately swaps in “population” and “all.”

He cannot - or WILL not -draw a bright line between those who belong to the political community and those who do not. Then he has the audacity to stamp the document “Citizenship Day.”

It is his worldview, not some unfortunate typo as he might later pretend.

The same governor who’s fighting Proposition 39, the measure that would require government-issued ID and actual citizenship verification to vote, already treats healthcare, benefits, and now the franchise itself as something owed to everyone physically present, not to citizens. If the Constitution’s rights and the vote belong to the entire “population,” then citizenship is just a ceremony. A branding exercise. Dead.

You cannot celebrate Citizenship Day while working to erase the distinction that makes citizenship mean anything.

This is the man who wants to be taken seriously as a future President of the United States. A President swears to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution — the document that vests sovereignty in the people as citizens, not as an undifferentiated mass.

Newsom is standing in front of that document on its own anniversary and sanding the word “citizen” off it in real time.

How does anyone look at this and still think he should ever hold the office whose entire legitimacy rests on the very line he refuses to draw?
