Congratulations @leicesterliz you will have blood on your hands now, just like @theresecoffey has with her time in charge @DWPgovuk
Seems all parties are the same in the UK, there's none we can trust, none we can beleive in if you are disabled & or vulnerable
#shameonyou
Instead of subsidised food and alcohol in the House of Commons, I think that only vouchers should be given out. We'll call them dinner tickets - and abolish the alcohol.
That's how they want to treat disabled people, and that's how we should treat ableist politicians.
Listening to @IainDale on @LBC nothing worse than hearing abelist disabilists slatting other peoples disabilities and how their disabilities shouldn't be allowed a PIP award 🤬🤬🤬
The steering group bio's include expertise in learning disability, autism, physical disability and welfare policy. But none identifies professional or lived-experience expertise in mental health, despite mental health being the largest PIP condition group. #DisabilityBenefits
Most important thing to remember though - nothing is happening ANYTIME soon. I thought they would have far more meat by now. And when things do get more concrete, not only are 'transitional protections' for existing claimants a very real thing but we tend to blast them in court x
@IainDale pip has risen in costs in another way because government increased the retirement age, so people likely to be on pip longer now because of age
@IainDale the Timms review is flawed, it didn't have anyone on the review who suffers with mental health nor anyone who represents mental health.
Many of fear they've already made up their minds months ago on what the cuts are and who will face them.
It's a farce!
@stephenctimms@patmcfaddenmp@DWPgovuk so why no mental health inclusion on the panel for the review into PIP?
Utter farce and most likely a total stitch up for us who have MH and claim PIP, we'll be the ones to see our support go I guess then righg?!?!?
#takingthepip
@Shrink_at_Large@TheMeldrew Totally agree lack of representation to me means one thing, we're the ones in the firing line for the cuts and that worries the fcuk out of me constantly, which increases my self harm and massively triggers my suicidal ideation.
@UKLabour@patmcfaddenmp So, you want disabled folk in work, by cutting benefits. I challenge you, commission a report of say top 250 companies, and their % of disabled workers(include HOC as it's hilarious) and then tell us it's the disabled persons fault for being on benefits.
Helen, the only benefits in this country that need ripping out are the ones YOU milk everyday from taxpayers. People who live below the poverty line on PIP aren’t the problem.
You are, with your £100k salary, £39k a year rent, bills, council tax, travel & subsidised food & drink
@BenKentish Did you also look up the 50% cut to LCWRA that has gone silent by media, are you also aware welfare isn't ballooning more lies by politicians and media...

@JakeSharpeBBC Incorrect as you can also add the likes of Canada, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, India, Carribean nations and many more to that list as in Empire / Commonwealth, do you know the hero of Dunkirk was Canadian Cmdr Clouston the pier master who got the majority of men away.
@JamesCleverly why are you lying that welfare is ballooning? Because in actual fact it isn’t, so why do you keep spreading lies and misinformation???

#Media
Two major broadcasters have been unable to explain why key news presenters are failing to challenge politicians and commentators who repeatedly claim – wrongly – that spending on social security is out of control and needs to be cut.
