It didn’t take long for the days exhaustion to finally gnaw at the lumbering wolf’s bones. He was hoping to find himself a motel for the night, then again— he wasn’t shocked at being turned away, most folk see a strange vagrant wolf wandering into town and intuitively think he’ll cause trouble.
Tsk.. but understanding and not being pissed off by it weren’t mutually exclusive.
Simon slumped on the nearest bus station bench, the cool Oregon air nipping at his fur. It wouldn’t be his first night sleeping rough, though it certainly felt like a slap to his pride.
“Bastard cow..” he muttered under his breath, his voice laden with disdain and frustration.
He propped his bag underneath his head before turning his hoodie into a makeshift blanket, pulling the fabric up-to his chin. He gazed up at the stars, the serenity of the night sky soothed his agitated nerves, he knew he wouldn’t get much sleep tonight— though he was content resting under the stars.
“Tomorrow will be better..” he mumbled to himself, a prayer beyond self reassurance. He curled onto his side and hugged his hoodie to his chest, slowly dozing off to sleep.
Simon walked into the bar at the edge of town, predictably quiet on a weekday afternoon. He drew the eyes of what few patrons there were though, it wasn’t every day a grey wolf wandered into town.
He slumped back into the closest barstool, tapping the counter to snag the barman’s attention.
“G’day. What ale do you have on tap?”
Simon didn’t even get a chance to browse before the barman—a large bull with a clear no-nonsense look about him—crossed his burly arms and tilted his head up, giving the gaunt, slender wolf a one-over.
“I’ll need to see some ID. You don’t look twenty-one.”
Simon had to do a double take. He blinked for a moment, remembering he wasn’t in some red-sand Darwin pub. The audible defeat in his sigh was telling, he slipped off the barstool.
“Right- right. America. Well if you can’t sell me booze, you wouldn’t happen to have a room free upstairs?”
“Not for your kind.”
The bull straightened his composure, Simon immediately took note of the weary glances he was receiving from the other patron, now the bar seemed quieter after the words left the barman’s mouth.
“Noted.. thanks for your time.”
He had better things to do than start something with the first local he spoke with, he just hoped the next bar-motel he came across wouldn’t be so.. combative.
Simon stepped off the interstate bus into the warm summer heat, his eyes squinting after hours travelling inside the dark compartments. He was glad to have his feet on the ground after his long journey, his knees ached from the poor legroom.
The wolf glanced around the dirt-broken road toward the nearby town. Pinewood? Not since leaving Darwin had Simon taken a moment to sit down and plan his next steps. So far his only objective was getting as far from Australia as possible.
Reaching into his jacket pocket Simon checked his wallet— a few dozen bills remained, his wage from working on the container freight he’d smuggled himself state-side on.
“Well.. I guess it’s enough for room and board.” He mused under his breath, starting his way into town with nothing but the bag on his shoulders and the clothes on his back.
@softnpurrfect night– one he hoped he remember.
“Thanks. She’s a handful, but worth the effort..
I insist. After all, I think we owe it to one another, considering we’re both marked..”
His thumb traced idly on her jaw, brushing toward her bottom lip. She was so soft, softer than —
@softnpurrfect profound physical response.
Though he was no better and she knew it. Marking went both ways, and her scent still lingered on his coat; the potent reminder of her own blissful orgasm when she weaved her pheromones into his very coat. It’d been a maddening reminder of that —
@LadyCedany Hrnf..
She’d better stick around after then to play with his pup.. guess the wolf can’t completely rob her legs of the ability to walk..
He’ll have to settle for stubbornly printing his scent in her fur..
keep his mark fresh and potent..
@softnpurrfect was still there.. stubbornly clinging to her coat.. his mark hasn’t changed.. his muzzle leaned in against her cheek, his breath hot on her fur as he whispered in his low, deep voice.
“Why don’t you come inside, I was about to cook dinner.. I’ll set an extra place..”
The way —
@softnpurrfect chest roared to life.
The growling thundered from his core as he brushed his muzzle against her cheek, his eyes lulled low as he checked her scent. Each snarl-laden breath synchronised with the agonising pulse in her loins, timed perfectly with the pulse of her ovaries.
He —
@softnpurrfect coming sweet pea, who’s come to see the big bad..”
He paused his words as he laid his eyes on Catalina. She saw it, the recognition, how his posture flickered from slow rural father to possessive, predatory male for the briefest moments before he hastily composed himself. The —
@softnpurrfect a step back from the door, looking over her shoulder as she called out.
“Dad?.. there’s someone at the door!”
Simon was working in his garage, his focus was pulled away from his little DIY hobby to the living room. He half expected it to be Vinnie or Kylie. “Yeah yeah I’m—
