"It was extremely special. Like a little god wink. Just tons of emotions. Overall, just an amazing experience."
Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Chad Dallas shares how special it was to learn on Lou Gehrig Day that he'd be making his MLB debut after losing his father to ALS in 2025.
Hearsay evidence is one of the most contested battlegrounds in criminal law, and the Supreme Court just drew a clearer line. The case involved an Alberta axe murder conviction and the rules governing what a judge can and can't rely on.

My husband looked me dead in the eyes and said, “I want a divorce. I’ll take the house, both cars, the businesses, everything. Just leave the boy with me.”
My lawyer begged me to fight. Family and friends called me insane. But I smiled softly and said, “Give him whatever he wants.”At the final hearing, I signed every document without hesitation. The house. The cars. The accounts. All of it. He sat across from me, grinning like he’d won the lottery, already picturing his new life. He didn’t know I had already won.
As the judge stamped the papers, my husband leaned back, victorious until his lawyer leaned in and whispered something that made his face turn ghostly white.

@Erik_Swanson03 I usually enjoy listening to him, but I don’t agree with this take. Let’s acknowledge and even maybe celebrate a little. That was a fun run!
Here’s the best time management lesson I ever learned. 👇🏼
Take a jar. You’ve got rocks and you’ve got sand.
The rocks go in first - Your family. Your kids. Your partners. Your people. The things that actually matter. Those go in first.
Then the sand. - Exercise. Books. Vacation. Whatever it is. You pour it in after and it finds its way through the rocks.
You’re not going to do everything every day. It might be all business for 72 hours.
Then all family for 75 hours. That’s not failure. That’s life.
The people who burn out aren’t the ones who work hard.
They’re the ones who can’t tolerate the imperfection of the balance.
Stop being upset when it’s not going perfectly. It’s never going perfectly. That’s not the goal.
The goal is knowing what the rocks are.
And making sure they’re always in the jar first.
“Because these go to 11”
That’s it. That’s the joke.
And it became an eternal punchline.
It’s a classic moment in Rob Reiner’s This Is Spinal Tap. Not just a comedy - it’s canon in film, music, culture.
RIP Rob and Michelle Reiner.
