If you get convinced to go swim w the dolphins - detrim every external piece of jewelry : the neighborhood you have to traverse to get there has a very high tax rate for out of towners. I had a boss that was big into the Tony Robbins ecosystem ; Tony says this , that , etc. I later had to sit through a pitch on how Tony Robbins Inc was going to take over cloud computing for AWS because they had proprietary knowledge on how to do it better and could scale faster- Tony ran late to the meeting. I pointed out that it wasn’t a favorable start to their takeover project - never heard about it again.

We submitted an offer via a well known selling Broker on a project where their ask price was pegged to a multiple on the underlying rolling stock (trucking related) in the CIM. Printed proudly in the opening paragraph. Selling team later started to carve out some assets for ..posterity… and we did not push back at all — however -// when we adjusted our pay price by the same formula, dollar for dollar , they melted down. Called us every name —- they later gave the business away to a family member and the well known Broker went back to teaching an ETA class at a local University. We didn’t even get to negotiate some of the worker-comp fraud that was uncovered in diligence.
