We need to expand trade not simply swap it out with longer & more complicated logistics (& costs).

Basically, add more trade, not replace existing. Many seem to want to replace, which makes no economic sense.

@NostraDumbas @CanadianCoffey China has been doing that to us for decades, yet no one ever brings that up or seems to care. Somehow people are cheering at tying ourselves to a strict authoritarian regime that does not have individual rights & freedoms.

Trump will be gone soon. They’ll still be our neighbour.

In many ways, China is as fascist as it is anything. Certainly not a true communist state. Not since 1978.

Most of Europe was wrecked afterwards and required massive aid which was provided by the US under the Marshall plan. They also rebuilt Japan.
