When the same administration controls the footage and already uses AI to mislead, they stop being accountability tools.

BREAKING: Federal immigration agents in Minneapolis will now be required to wear body cameras.

After weeks of public outcry, protests, and growing scrutiny over federal enforcement tactics in Minnesota, the Department of Homeland Security says all immigration officers operating in the Twin Cities will begin using body-worn cameras.

This follows the deadly shootings of Alex Pretti and Renée Good and mounting concerns about transparency, accountability, and the treatment of community members and journalists.

Many advocates say this is a step in the right direction. But cameras only matter if footage is preserved, released, and used to hold people accountable.

@MercadoMedia1 It is a step in the right direction, if it was any other administration. But as we've been shown again and again, they are not adverse to posting AI content, on official accounts, and they have blatantly lied before. They'll alter footage, before releasing it as 'fact'.
