A language holds more than words. It holds the names of plants, the way to read a river, the songs sung at night.
When a grandmother speaks and a grandchild records, nothing has to be lost.
A connection helps families keep the languages they love, and share them.
If you could save only one family photo, which one would it be?
Tell us who's in it and the story behind it.
The pictures we treasure most are rarely the perfect ones.
Why Timeless Frames?
Because one photograph can hold what a community wants remembered: an elder's hands, a pattern, a morning by the river.
Those frames belong to the people in them, and should be shared only the way they choose.
Five editions is a real commitment. Pairing festivals with handloom is smart: when visitors can meet the weavers and buy directly, the tradition becomes a livelihood too.
After four incredible editions celebrating the rich indigenous heritage of our communities (from Mopin, Dree, and Solung to Nyokum Yullo, Boori Boot, and Longte), we are thrilled to return under the aegis of the Department of Handloom and Textiles, Govt. of Arunachal Pradesh! This December, Arunachal Runway 5.0 proudly dedicates its stage to the vibrant culture, rich traditions, and distinct identity of the Tagin Community.
Get ready for spectacular cultural walks, traditional attire, craftsmanship, and storytelling woven into one unforgettable platform. Inspired by Tagin Roots. Designed for the Tagin Community. The countdown begins! Stay tuned for more updates. See you all this December at Arunachal Runway 5.0 – TAGIN EDITION! @PemaKhanduBJP@ChownaMeinBJP@MyGovHindi@MyGovArunachal@NyatoDukam
@urhobohouse_ Teaching plant knowledge in the language it was first passed down in is beautiful. The names of herbs often carry their uses and history, and both are worth keeping for the next generation.
@conectadas_mx Sustainable is the key word. Connectivity lasts when the community helps shape it and uses it for what matters locally: school, health and selling what they make at a fair price.
@wbznewsradio Gatherings like this keep culture alive in the best way: in person, passed between generations. Recording the stories and songs shared here, with the community's blessing, helps them reach family who couldn't be there.
Who first taught you a skill with your hands?
Cooking, sewing, carving, fixing things. Tell us who it was and what they taught you.
Skills passed from person to person are some of the stories most worth preserving.
A basket can take days to weave. For many artisans in remote villages, the hardest part comes after: finding someone beyond the village who will see it.
A connection changes that. One photo can carry a maker's work, and her story, to buyers anywhere.
@SalinasNPS Foodways might be the most beautiful way stories get passed down. A recipe carries a place, a season and the people who cooked it before us.
The nephew taking the craft online is the turning point in this story. The knowledge stays with the master, and the internet brings the buyers back. That's how inherited skills survive.
KASHMIR’S FEROZI ART: WHERE FIRE, STONE & TRADITION MEET!
What makes Kashmiri Ferozi art so unique? It is a delicate craft passed down through generations, requiring patience, precision and a deep understanding of heat and colour.
Meet Mohammad Hanief, who learnt this traditional art from his father. The process involves carefully heating stone so that the colour adheres correctly too much heat, and the technique can fail. Every piece reflects years of inherited knowledge and skilled craftsmanship.
As traditional work declined, Hanief’s nephew took the craft online, helping bring renewed attention to this heritage.
Preserving Ferozi means more than saving an art form; it means protecting Kashmir’s cultural identity, supporting local artisans and passing their knowledge to the next generation.
📍 Support Kashmir’s traditional artisans. Keep its heritage alive.

@bncdotph That last line is the whole challenge. Young weavers stay when the craft pays. Opening routes to buyers who value abel and pay fairly is how a tradition becomes a livelihood again.
@UNESCO Flexible learning could help here. For a young mother who can't return to the classroom every day, lessons she can follow from home may be the bridge back to finishing school.
@FAO Pastoralists are often among the most remote communities on earth. A reliable connection can bring them weather alerts, fair market prices and a voice in the decisions that shape their land.
When you buy something handmade, what matters most to you?
Knowing who made it, knowing where it comes from, or knowing the maker was paid fairly?
Tell us below. Your answers help us build better routes to market for remote artisans.

What's one tradition, recipe or story from your family that you'd want the next generation to keep?
We'd love to hear it below. Preserving stories starts at home.
In many communities, history isn't written down. It lives in the people who remember it: how to weave a basket, which plants heal, the story behind every pattern.
A connection keeps those voices teaching, across any distance.
