Im so stupid In my folly I forgot to check the citations I had for my timeline and as such didn't see that Stone Tablet Compilations Vol 1 clearly says that Guizhong set up the ballista

For reference, it's likely that Guizhong did NOT build the ballista herself, and that she merely designed it, and CR tweaked the design and built it after the move to Liyue Harbor.

@LonelyHogyoku THIS IS SO INTERESTING because i always saw the ballista as a goodwill gift meant to protect shanhui fort but after a while they agreed to move to guili plains together, i dont really have any evidence for this but it's just what "makes the most sense" in my head!

guizhong is a lot more affectionate than ningguang is but ningguang ADORES it she loves having guizhong clinging to her

Every time I think of Guizhong's death, I think of how the adepti close to her might not have a proper time to mourn.

She was likely their first casualty in the assembly and one of the rulers.

They might have to act strong to not let the people panic.
