South Carolina has given the greenlight to firing-squad executions. The method was codified into state law last year after a decade-long pause in carrying out the death sentence over the state's inability to procure lethal injection drugs. https://t.co/3rgD7T9c99
I’ve decided to recap some of the most interesting news stories of the week. Let me know what you think! #deathpenalty#deathrow

Two Missouri men have had their death sentences commuted by governors. They were white. Earnest Lee Johnson is Black. If you don’t think that matters in how the death penalty is applied in America you are not paying attention.
Ernest Johnson should not have been executed. He was intellectually disabled and categorically ineligible for the death penalty. Ernest was a human being. He committed a terrible crime and was deeply remorseful. This was not justice.
Wouldn't it be nice if pro-lifers focused on ending the death penalty? Or gun violence? Or suicide prevention? Or stopping police killings? Or fighting poverty? Or combating the opioid epidemic?
You know, things that would actually save lives?
Anything good on TV tonight? In the mood for something with map-based info graphics explaining why the amount of votes a candidate gets has little to nothing to do with who becomes president
