I know @waitwait just hired @alzoslade as their new judge/scorekeeper, but that role has traditionally been held by a newsman. Is it too late to hire Scott Pelley? I hear he's available now. (No shade to Alzo, he's great.)
@wewwers Man, there's truth to that! But ideally, our republic is *supposed* to protect the rights of all. If major metropolises make all the laws, the rest of the country can pound sand. We need more equal representation. Not minority rule but the minority shouldn't be excluded.
Class action lawsuits exist most often to make lawyers rich. Today I received $8.12 from this $117.5 million 2023 settlement for a 2012-2016 data breach that I was notified about in 2019.

@wewwers I don't think I said it "grants you special valued insight into governance." I DID say that "majority rule can be another form of tyranny." We're supposed to be a republic where the rights of ALL citizens are protected, including those in the minority.
@wewwers I do but I don't want to monopolize representation over the other regions. Majority rule can be another form of tyranny when the minority loses their voice in decision making. This is why the filibuster must survive too.
@TNVoteNoOn1@PhilNvestigates Just ran this through Grok and apparently what Vorster meant by 'Christian nationalism' is something very different from what Doug Wilson or William Wolf mean today. Vorster was an Afrikaner who was pro-Nazi and anti-British.
