@levelsio Stayed at the hotel in the second pic last year. Internet speeds > 50mbps, I was able to do a day of meetings without issue. Not sure if the connection speed was universal or limited to the hotel. Gorgeous area
@Eurostar CC @seatsixtyone is this normal? Barely space to stand and travelling with a small child. Have to discount Eurostar from future travel plans if so :/
@seatsixtyone I tried to take this once. I made the restaurant reservation, got the perfect length route from the South etc. when the train arrived it was a 5 car train with no dining. Not only that but standing room only in first class!
When we first started driving EVs the UKs grid intensity was 441g CO2/kWh, meaning our EV was emitting 110g CO2/mile or 68g CO2/KM
Grid intensity has lowered drastically since then (2023 162gCO2/kWh) so last year driving an EV meant you'd have averaged approximately 40.5g CO2/mile or 25g CO2/KM.
That's anywhere between 4 & 10 times cleaner than an ICE car and......... that's before we add crude oil extraction, fractional distillation and transportation emsisions to the ICE car's figures.

@British_Airways BA585. 1hr to checkin a bag (club queue). In op front toilet. Grumpy/shouty crew. Delayed disembarkation. Now over an hour and counting for (priority) bags.
@bytebln Similar problem. Thought I had a dodgy touch screen. Upgrading to the ios17 beta seems to have fixed it though. So hopefully it will be available to all in a few days.
@amotorhomme @TMBlakeEurostar Indeed. Exactly how airlines work. So if thereโs more demand for agile departures I guess staff may also have such rotas/opportunities.
The larger the network and greater the interoperability, the more cost effective it becomes I assume.
@TMBlakeEurostar This is really interesting. A lot of similar stuff happens with aircraft rescheduling. I wonder if this is a good argument to further integrate the rail network, vehicle + staff availability and serviceability to make creating of โjust in timeโ services easier.
@au_tom_otive In fairness, whilst I donโt get motion sickness, the acceleration/regen curve on a Model Y is way harsher than an older Model S. I find the former much harder to drive smoothly.
