Rest in peace, Kevin Keegan. A romantic, an idealist, a dreamer. He embodies so many things I miss about the once-beautiful game. Personally, a boyhood hero. The swaggering, swashbuckling football of his Newcastle side... that's the sport, man.

As a football nut, I wouldn’t have gone to University in Newcastle had it not been for the buzz Kevin Keegan’s great team of 92/93 was creating. I’m still here 34 years later. Family, career, all shaped by that moment in time. Talk about walking in a Keegan wonderland. RIP Kevin.
Incredible win for Newcastle in the final seconds against a very good Leeds team. Miley and Barnes terrific, but what about Bruno Guimaraes - simply incredible. What a captain, what a player. Talk about grit, passion, and absolute determination to win. We’re so lucky to have him.

@officialbantams As a season ticket holder at Newcastle, I can genuinely say your fans were the best we have had up here for quite some time. Never stopped singing!! Hope you get promoted this year.
@WarringtonRLFC I’ve never felt so distant from the club since my first game in 1983. Senior Management, coaching staff and many of the playing staff all feel rotten in my opinion. Fundamental change is required, a lot of it cultural, otherwise it will continue to fade away.
