@Gedpower Totally agree - have pressed for resolution and been told drains under surface bust and will be done when major work done. I have asked for measures to alleviate current issues - was clear mid afternoon
Plenty of views this week on, in my view, flawed Northern & Western Area plan and Minimum/Living wage proposals - one against and one in favour going into @tynwaldinfo next week
He is right - lost count of the number of times I have mentioned “communication” with this administration - been a constant theme most recently even raised at last sitting - complete blind spot!
How would you rate government's communication with you during this administration?
Former Chief Minister Allan Bell says government has been "absolutely abysmal" at keeping the public informed over the last four years. https://t.co/zWEUNBjP9R
More than £3 million has been overpaid to government employees since 2020.
Government says regardless of the cause of the overpayment, it's the recipient's obligation to 'make restoration of the full amount'. https://t.co/GeeJFA5vSt
Glad this has happened but find it ironic chair of @mua is objecting to visual impact of a few poles -what about visual impact of a few giant wind turbines in the south of the island on one of of our photographed promotional sites?
The planning committee has recognised both the visual impact & streetscape impact of the proposed installation of fibre broadband poles in Tromode & rejected both applications unanimously.
Relevant @IOMGovernment agencies need to engage & work with @manxtelecom to find a solution
We need a properly funded @manxheritage if we are serious about boosting visitor numbers - it needs a joined up approach. Can’t say we want more visitors without our heritage sites being fully open
Concerns have been raised in Tynwald over whether Manx National Heritage has sufficient funding to fully open its heritage sites for the 2025 tourist season.
Some sites are only open for limited hours each week #isleofman

The former health and social care minister says government is ‘holding a gun to the heads of Manx people’ by cutting services.
It follows reports of operations being cancelled and hospitals in the UK reportedly refusing to treat non-emergency patients. https://t.co/zcq1uYe1Md
Are Manx Care service cuts really happening?
The Health Minister assured Tynwald on 21 January that there would be no service cuts amid Manx Care funding concerns. However, an embargoed press release from 15 Jan mentions cuts, raising serious questions

BLEIN VIE NOA – HAPPY NEW YEAR! Here’s to 2025.
Hopefully the disappointments of the past 12 months will be replaced with positive actions we have all hoped and called for but have yet to see!
Last sitting of the year, easily time to finish the whole Order & Question paper before 5:30 so I’m disappointed not to finish Questions
Especially as I’m trying to follow up on the Child First policy which appears to have sunk into the Cabinet Office depths without explanation
