My former party is bat shit crazy, un-American, and authoritarian/fascist. But my former party will keep winning nationally and in battleground states & districts if my new party continues this hard lurch to the left and nominates candidates who are anti-American, anti-capitalism, and anti-Israel. That’s the only thing that will save my former party.
Americans realizing they spent $75 billion fighting Iran, then another $300 billion rebuilding Iran, just to reopen the Strait of Hormuz that was already open before the war started
The inflation rate in Biden's last month in office was 2.9%. Trump (supported by a Republican Congress) has driven it up to 4.2%.
Thank you, voters, for your attention to this matter.

I’m humbled and proud to officially be your Democratic nominee for the U.S. Senate to take on Susan Collins and the billionaire class she represents. Together, we will win this seat back for working Mainers.
Thank you, Maine.
Trump on the verge of a deal that will enrage Israel & the idiotic hawks that got him into this stupid war while not doing much to assuage people pissed off about the energy shock & cost of the war. Only paid staff & grifters will be defending it 😂
@SarahLongwell25@gtconway3d Question is what will democrats do with this demographic. Last cycle there was zero outreach and they were largely ignored.
He gets a ballroom. An Arch. A new reflecting pool. 10 billion directly into his pocket from taxpayers. Billions from special interests seeking favors and pardons.
What has America gotten? Tariffs, a new war, higher gas prices, inflation.
Truly a golden age.
@RoyalFamily Your Majesties, thank you for visiting Virginia — and, of course, the rest of America. Given our shared mountain history, if you’d ever like to have us back in the UK, I’m sure we’re open to negotiations.
A @CookPolitical poll of 36 seats likeliest to determine control of the House found Democrats on average favored over Republicans 50% to 44%. Trump carried those same seats by 2 points in 2024, meaning an 8-point swing to Democrats. @ShaneGoldmacher https://t.co/hV9ggGyw1R
I blame his voters for this. I blame every Republican elected official. I blame his media sycophants. I blame every media outlet, university president, private company CEO, and world leader who bent the knee to him. They’re all to blame for this. They ALL taught him to believe he can do whatever he wants. They ALL taught him to believe he should be worshipped.
Trump backed down.
No credit to Congress, which barely made a whimper.
Credit to the American people—progressive activists & anti-war conservative voices like @TuckerCarlson, @mtgreenee, and many more.
We need an anti-Epstein class, anti-war, pro-working class coalition.
In the best case scenario, Trump struck a deal to reopen a Strait that was open before the pointless war he started, with the IRGC demonstrating its control over the Strait and potentially extracting fees plus sanctions relief. Thousands of innocents - including hundreds of children - dead in Lebanon and Iran for no reason. U.S. troops killed and wounded. U.S. embassies and bases in the Middle East badly damaged. U.S. standing in the world obliterated. U.S. munitions badly depleted. Hundreds of billions spent. Prices up everywhere. More global economic fallout to come. Putin strengthened and enriched. Just a catastrophic situation even in the best of circumstances. A profoundly shameful episode in American history no matter what happens next.
Trump just said Iran hit the USS Gerald R. Ford “from 17 angles” and the crew “had to run to save our lives.”
His own Pentagon says it was a laundry room fire.
A sitting president publicly contradicting his own DoD during an active war is extraordinary — regardless of which version is true.
Our greatest threat isn’t Iran—it’s our exploding national debt. We were never in danger of Iranian troops invading the U.S. This war never should have started, and the sooner it ends, the safer America and our soldiers will be. @Varneyco
