@SouthernRailUK - can you please slow your trains down coming in and out of Lewes. There is a speed restriction in place which is increasingly being ignored by your drivers

@SouthernRailUK Thanks Alex, I understand what happens when a train goes over a set of points as I work in the railway industry. I was wondering why there may be a specific route or crossover that causes more noise than another. Trains crossing points here do cause a lot of disruption to us

@SouthernRailUK Ok thanks. We believe some trains have been going faster than is permitted. Regarding the trains making more noise crossing the points to/from platform 5 - why is this? Is there a track fault?

@SouthernRailUK There are a set of points on the track so can hear the wheels go over. As the trains are now so frequent it is easy to hear wheel movements that are faster than they should be

@SouthernRailUK As examples: 16:03 & 16:23 departures from Lewes to Brighton today (24/01/20) both over the 10mph limit
