It’s five years since I was diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer. I wrote a big piece for Saturday magazine about the worst year of my life - terror, grief, miscarriage - and how it has led to some of the happiest https://t.co/sQFA6XcUSU
New intel just dropped!
A big hats off and a heartfelt thank you to our ally @timjonze and The Guardian for this spiffing piece 🫡

I’ve just been into the city centre to pick up a friend and his young son who were completely stranded due to the issues at Lime Street.
I’m aware that there’s been a major incident and the resources of the emergency services will obviously be stretched, but the situation at Lime Street and the gridlock of traffic all around the city centre with zero control is very, very dangerous.
@RMTunion Liverpool Lime Street closed to passengers. We've known this would be the demand for a month. Emblematic of our disgusting national train failure. Merseyrail on the way up a disgrace too
I will be joining my colleagues at the Guardian and Observer who are on strike for 48 hours over the sale of the Observer. I will be back at work on Friday.

My little obit for James McMahon – a funny, creative, passionate and occasionally maddening friend who I had an absolute blast with in my early NME days. RIP Jam x https://t.co/zR4u2ztpHy
For those enjoying Orbital: wonderful images of astronauts/cosmonauts taking off for the International Space Station - and returning to remote grassland in Kazakhstan in their little pods https://t.co/nKLMjoV2Wj
50 years ago this month, Kraftwerk’s Autobahn changed pop music forever. I drove from Bonn to Hamburg to capture the road's sights and sounds – and work out why nobody in Dusseldorf seemed bothered about the band (and yes this WAS a dream commission!) https://t.co/CpoDCZ3C5X
@DSProudfoot @LeBeaujolaisltd Thanks so much Douglas - I’ll look forward to visiting there again, had a nice vibe (and if Barry Miles says it’s soho then it’s soho I guess!)
@VisitDusseldorf Nice! Well I’d like to come back as I loved Dusseldorf. Also - is the traffic cone outside the old Kling Klang a Kraftwerk reference or just a traffic cone?
@maxrushden I tweeted and Blueskyed a piece I wrote yesterday - I have over 40 times as many followers on here and yet the engagement on Bluesky was much better
