@BnejiBneji5@krassenstein You obviously do t know about the 38% tariffs on Chinese EV or the mandatory tariffs on garments. Europe is scared and they will beg
@shitbeast_arc@SpencerHakimian We dominate digital so we do t need to change anything there rather than continue to innovate. So that combined with our future manufacturing prowess we dominate the global economy
@BnejiBneji5@krassenstein The Indians on the other hand want to pick up the mantle previously held by China and export to the west as well as Africa and LatAm
@BnejiBneji5@krassenstein On a purchasing power parity basis, even if the entire LatAm African markets completely switched to china it would still account for less than 20% of us trade
@edgetiago1 @ConflictDISP Our debt has a secret weapon of being the reserve currency that can simply be wiped away anytime if we choose to do so. It will cause inflation but we can tackle that by simply causing global recession for other countries
@GabeZZOZZ Ukraine is a piss poor corrupt shithole with main export being mail order brides and hackers- sooner they get back to their little corner the better it is for the west
@BnejiBneji5@krassenstein That is exactly why EU is now exploring additional tariffs on China and if you think Africans or LatAm countries can replace the purchasing power of US consumers than I have a bridge to sell you
@BZEN67396288@AdrianP_doc Oh look it’s another poor UKI hitting X hard with replies to earn his life changing $18 hourly wage. Go Uki you will make it soon
There are currently three other alternate card payment networks in the world that operate on a global basis. Chinese UnionPay which initially partnered with diners club network to have international processing capabilities but now operates on stand alone network, Russian MIR that works abroad through a partnership with Union Pay, India’s RuPay which works abroad through partnership with discover/diners club network. Note only China has been able to establish their own stand alone network due to the huge amount of investment required to do so
@ConflictDISP Ha ha yeah I will believe it when I see it. Who will they partner with to bring the network online at global stage because they do t have the funds to establish a brand new global network from scratch
@edgetiago1 @ConflictDISP Because we have the funds European countries are poor and do not have the funds. Europe is not a country, it’s an union of countries with divergent interests
I work in the bicycle industry and the impact tariffs are having on my business are profound.
The same bike that people were paying $4,000 for during the pandemic is on sale this month for $1,300.
The same bike that people were paying $3,495 for during the pandemic is on sale this month for $1,999.
Bikes built and manufactured in the United States are selling out. Bikes manufactured overseas are reducing their prices to stay competitive with US manufacturers.
Tariffs are definitely impacting my industry and it’s been absolutely amazing for my business. Thank you @POTUS
