@bicycle_network One of many trails that are closed in the Western Suburbs for no apparent reason. Fed Trail & Kororoit Creek Trail both have sections closed for a long time for no reason.
@BikeWestVic And the @WestGateTunnel project are closing Footscray Road for a week starting Tuesday night. Great timing. Maybe time to open the Rainbow Bridge
@dettershankMP Thanks for this. I have had the same response from the WGTP for 18 months. The are ‘working’ on reopening it soon. The Fed trail between Millers and Fogerty has been finished for over 12 months.
@WestGateTunnel @BikeWestVic ‘As soon’ - this is the same response we were given 18 months ago and nothing has changed and no information on when they will reopen has been given
@LeighroyH@BikeWestVic@dettershankMP@ellensandell Fed Trail between Millers & Fogerty Ave has been finished for 12 months. The WGTP & local councils just cannot agree on who will look after it once it’s open.
@BikeWestVic @WestGateTunnel It’s a bit like the path between Millers Road and Fogerty Ave. @WestGateTunnel talk about safety for workers, drivers, pedestrians and cyclists but what safety works have been done for cyclists? I’m still riding on Francis Street with all the trucks…
@BikeWestVic @WestGateTunnel It’s a lot cheaper for the project to have the Footscray Road path closed. I’ve seen 6-8 workers per day just patrolling the road crossings. Closing the path saves money for them.
@bicycle_network Any news on the Fed trail opening between Millers and Fogerty Ave? It’s finished but the @WestGateTunnel won’t open it til the extension from Williamstown Road and Hyde Street is completed - eg 2025
@BikeWestVic @WestGateTunnel People have ridden it recently and say it’s fine. But it looks like the Millers Road end is being used as parking. The next section (new bridge over Williamstown Road) is still being built but it’s a kilometer further towards the city.
@BikeWestVic @WestGateTunnel @BikeWestVic @WestGateTunnel had a car turn left this morning and another this afternoon. The big flashing sign doesn’t work
@bicycle_network@WyndhamCouncil Red Bridge now closed too. How long will it be closed? What are the detour options? The detour signage around the area is not clear.
@ElwynF3011@misguidedjenni@ajWasThere The foot/bike Bridge over the Werribee River behind the mansion is closed. Likely to be closed for another few months
