Yesterday, buyers took NRED to C$0.60 for a 3.45% gain, and today the story remains active. The IP and partnership background makes this more strategic than a routine advisory hire. I lost everything 3 times before I wrote down these 7 rules. Haven't had a losing month since I started following them…

Every trader thinks they need a better strategy. Usually they need better CRITERIA for when to use the strategy they already have.

Here's the exact checklist I run before every single trade:

☐ 1. HIGHER TIMEFRAME BIAS

Is the daily or 4H showing clear direction?

If price is in the middle of nowhere, chopping around, I don't trade. I need price to be approaching a significant level with clear intention.

No bias = No trade

☐ 2. SIGNIFICANT LEVEL IDENTIFIED

Is there a clear liquidity pool (swing high/low) that price is targeting?

Not just any level. A level where stops are obviously clustered. Previous day high/low. Weekly swing points. Obvious "support/resistance" that everyone sees.

No level = No trade

☐ 3. SWEEP OCCURRED

Has price actually taken the liquidity at that level?

This is the most important one. I don't enter UNTIL price has swept the level. The sweep confirms institutions grabbed the liquidity. Now they'll reverse.

No sweep = No trade

☐ 4. FAIR VALUE GAP PRESENT

After the sweep, is there a clear imbalance in price that it will likely return to fill?

The gap is my entry zone. If there's no gap, there's no clear entry point.

No gap = No trade

☐ 5. V-SHAPE SIGNATURE FORMING

Am I seeing expansion → reversal → expansion starting?

This confirms the sweep was the end of that move and the reversal is beginning. Consolidation after the sweep = not ready yet.

No V-shape = No trade

☐ 6. RISK DEFINED

Is my stop loss BEHIND the structure (fair value gap)? Is my risk 1-2% maximum?

If I can't clearly define where I'm wrong, I don't have a trade. I have a gamble.

No clear stop = No trade

☐ 7. TARGET CLEAR

Is the opposite liquidity pool (my target) at least 3R away?

If the target is only 1.5R away, the math doesn't work even with a good win rate.

No 3R target = No trade

Most traders skip steps 3, 4, and 5. That's why most traders lose.

They see a level, enter immediately, and get stopped out when price sweeps it. If they waited for the sweep FIRST, they'd be entering with smart money instead of getting liquidated.

3. Trade Setup Criteria
•Strategy name: VWAP pullback / Break & Retest
•Timeframe: 5M for setup, 1M for entry
•Trend direction: Trade only with the trend
•Volume confirmation: Volume expansion on entry
•Key levels: VWAP, Pre-market high/low, Support & Resistance

4. Entry Plan
•Entry trigger: Bullish candle close above VWAP / level
•Entry price: At confirmation candle close
•Position size: Calculated to risk $20
•Reason for entry: Trend + volume + key level confluence

5. Risk Management
•Stop-loss price: Below VWAP / last higher low
•Risk amount ($): $20 max
•Risk-Reward ratio: 1 : 2 minimum

6. Exit Plan
•Partial take-profit: At 1R (sell 50%)
•Final target: 2R or next resistance
•Trailing stop rule: Trail below higher lows
•Exit invalidation rule: Loss of VWAP with volume

7. Trade Management Rules
•No revenge trades
•No chasing entries
•No moving stop-loss wider
•Walk away after daily loss

8. Post-Trade Review
•Followed plan? Yes / No
•Emotion during trade: Calm / Fear / Greed
•Mistakes noted: Late entry / Early exit / Overtrading
•Lesson learned: Follow the process, not emotions
