Sean Guiden 👏 serious talent, and a shooter - excited to see what he grows into as an intercounty footballer, serious introduction over the past few weeks.
I’m beyond neutral with ref decisions & not having a ref agenda, but not getting one penalty in 37 games, especially from calls like this & the Leeds game, is pretty unfathomable to me.
@JackPittBrooke Johan Lange had the Jan window to sign an attacker when we had just 4 fit and decided to sell our top scorer in Johnson and bring nobody in. If relegation happens it’s largely on his head. Worst appointment in Spurs history in any department and that’s saying something
So a player can be booked for making a foul in the penalty area, wrestling someone to the floor.
But because the corner “hasn’t quite” been taken, it remains a foul and a booking - yet it isn’t a penalty, according to VAR.
Make it make sense.
The game is absurd now.

It's not confidence or belief or the manager or the tactics or momentum or history or anything like that. It's player quality and availability. That's what is going to decide this next week.
Spurs worked hard tonight, well organised, clearly bought in to what RDZ wants them to do. Some of the movement was impressive. But the limiting factor is obviously the technical level of the attacking players and the lack of depth there. That's the biggest issue.
How on earth is this not a penalty. 10 seconds to check this and deny a Clear penalty whilst they’re giving the Arsenal decision yesterday after 10 minutes despite it being much less clear and obvious. The officiating in this league is a disgrace. What a joke.
For all the mistakes and mismanagement at Tottenham — and there are lots of those, short and long term — the one single factor that drags them from a bad, lets say mid-table season, to a relegation dogfight is the injuries. And it’s not bad luck. Same last season, and they failed to fix it.
