@Luckylucydach@MusicJim2 Sid McGinnis. Later went on to be the regular player in David Letterman’s house band. Guitarist on the original recording is Steve Hunter (who played it with a capo on the 2nd fret).
@newmanstings Hi Tom. I used to come in on OFAH the Musical and play guitar in the band, and I loved listening to you play Delboy. But I had no idea Colin Bennett was your father. Fond memories of watching him on the telly when I was a kid. My condolences.
@rhodri Disappointingly they haven’t included his 1981 greatest hits collection “Best Moves”, which is literally the best Chris De Burgh greatest hits compilation ever released.
@dcsandbrook@TheRestHistory Having played in the pit band for the West End version of Hamilton several hundred times, I’m always amused when the British audience cheer the victory at the Battle Of Yorktown, seemingly not realising that they are, well…the bad guys.
@IanDunt Me and some friends slept on Primrose Hill one summer when we were students in London in the late 80s. Woke up in the morning rather surprised to be surrounded by druids - we’d failed to take in the fact it was the date of the summer solstice.
@lukemcgee I played in the band for the Opening Ceremony in Liverpool on Sunday, and there were very visible police snipers on the tops of the high buildings. Maybe that’s always the case when 30,000 people gather together in a big city, but it all felt very incongruous to me.
@oliviasolon Just discovered the iOS password manager has a built in 2FA feature. It’s easy to set up and even easier to use. Turned off the Twitter one and am now using this instead.
@benryanwriter@JoyceCarolOates I watched the Birds again recently and thought exactly the same - the bird effects have actually stood up pretty well over 60 yrs, but that particular backdrop is the worst moment in an otherwise great film.
Just going to leave this here... Watch the full magical moment on @ITV for the New Year's Eve Big Bash at 8.30pm on 31 December.

@JustRowena I’ve been at Stonehenge today, and there was a notable lack of druids about. Turns out they celebrate the solstice tomorrow morning. The actual solstice takes place just before 10pm tonight.
