@SciGuySpace@JoeTegtmeyer This might backfire on them.
Based on budget allocation for NASA commercial crew program, Boeing needed more than 60% of the allocation.
They may end up wishing that the 50% cap did not exist.
@SciGuySpace Be careful what you wish for. It means their budget will be capped at 50%. Based on the NASA commercial crew program budget allocation to Boeing vs SpaceX, they should be asking for a 60/40 split.
@XFreeze Just use a core drill bit but make it much bigger. No need to carve out all the rock, just cut a circle and snap off the inner piece. Done ๐๐ธ
@M_IsForMachine You have to make a distinction between sensor categories. Camera, lidar and radar are all vision sensors. There is not much point trying to combine sensors of the same category.
@wholemars FSD already has sensor fusion because they use the vehicle's internal mic to listen for emergency vehicle sirens. Sound doesn't conflict with vision but other types of vision would conflict with cameras e.g. radar detecting plastic bag on the road as a solid object
@mick_deery Looks like Bernardo Silva kicks the ball away and then dives into the defender. What is the point of VAR if they can't see that in the replay.
@alex_read13@elonmusk Yes good point. I prefer investment in compute efficiency and AI training efficiency over raw power generation. Invest less in power generation so that compute is capped until we can work out how to do it more sustainably.
@alex_read13@elonmusk Agree, but at the end of the day, the goal of getting 1 terawatt of compute is about getting the amount of compute that you need to achieve an outcome, not about consuming the electricity.
@elonmusk What is worse than legacy government software? The government wasting money trying to upgrade its own legacy software. It is better for them to continue using their IE6 ActiveX intranets.
