Kale advanced age and sickness used to be a ground for grant of bail! Advocates would even make oral applications in court and magistrates would deliver a ruling there and then. Well that was long ago before judiciary died …
"All people who decide to put politics above the law should remember that fate is a double crosser, the day will come when you wish those laws will come to your aid". These rampant remandings, arrests without warrants, abductions, torture, etc. A time will come!
Ugandans are here today because those in power resisted atrocities of those who were in power before them. Ugandans will remain in this state of affairs because they glorify, they refuse and they are afraid to resist the atrocities of those in power today.
We’ll not reshare the torture images of @EriasLukwago, as to do so would be to further the interest of the folks carrying out the unlawful actions and to perpetuate his undignified and humiliating treatment.
We’ll say, though, that such actions are a daylight manifestation of the state of our country, captive to the shallow interest of a small clique to whom the law is a suggestion, rather than a command.
You humiliate the man, torture him, but you’ll never match the power of his ideas; the high moral grounds on which he stands will be a summit you will only glance from afar.
We’d demand that he be set free or taken to court through a lawful process if he has committed any crime, but i doubt you’ll heed to such calls. It is out of your grapes. So we will only ask that when you have satisfied your cheap desires, leave him alive to return to his family, cause, and country. He’ll meet and vanquish you in the arena of ideas, law, and morality.
On the Muganga Citizenship question:
Did he ever hold a Rwandan Passport & thus Citizenship?
If Not, what what immigration documents did he use to secure Canadian Citizenship?
If yes, has he since renounced that Rwandan citizenship alongside the Canadian one?
Simple.
“Kadaga went to a witch doctor and wanted to bewitch the first family, he wanted Museveni, Janet, Muhoozi and Among all dead” ~Andrew Mwenda~
Lets not spoil Mama Kadaga’s name like this, stop these lies.
Some of you commenting supporting NBS are acting out of ignorance of the law (which is not a defense). Under the constitution, articles 96 and 77, the Parliament is dissolved on the date of the first sitting of the previous parliament. In our case, the first sitting of 11th Parliament was on 24th May 2021. This means that AAA is still speaker till 24th May 2026, that’s why the first sitting of 12th Parliament is on 25th May 2026. The date is not by design but follows the constitution. So NBS may need a constitutional law counsel. AAA is still speaker and the 11th Parliament is not yet dissolved. Over
