Let's start with this one ... "While the law has not been enacted for decades" - in reference to 377a (which outlawed homosexuality). I think "enforced" is the word they were going for.

@MatthewBevan Australians catastrophically overestimate the “it’s on” of their own politics. Like that whole period of intra-party chaos involved no bloodshed and was entirely constitutional in every instance. It wasn’t even as crazy as the UK for the past few years.
