Over $500K awarded to Nigerian projects on Stellar 🚀🇳🇬
The latest Stellar Community Fund round has once again shown what Nigerian builders are capable of.
Six Nigerian projects received funding in SCF #44, with over $500,000 awarded to support projects building their solutions across the ecosystem.
We’re incredibly proud to see more Nigerian founders and builders continuing to show up, getting the support they need to build boldly, and make their mark on the Stellar ecosystem.
Big congratulations to @callyolat , @choppaddi , @JumpaHQ , @useblinkapp , @useazza , and @paycashless_ ! 🥳
We can’t wait to see how these projects grow with this support.
Curious about what they’re building? Take some time to explore their projects and support their work.
It’s still day one!
Last year, we brought founders and builders from across Nigeria to join the table.
Since then, they’ve gone on to build awesome things, launch new products, and create impact across the ecosystem.
This year, we’re doing it again.
Join us for the Founders & Builders Dinner, an invite-only evening for founders, builders, and contributors to the Stellar ecosystem.
We’ll reflect on how far we’ve come, share updates on opportunities for builders, and have conversations about what’s next for blockchain innovation in Nigeria.
📅 Friday, August 28

Behind every number is a community of builders showing up, sharing ideas, supporting one another, and turning possibilities into real things.
The Builder Circle grew to 100+ members, 4 funded products, 30+ earning contributors, and over $400K+ awarded to Stellar contributors.
Now, we’re opening it back up again. 👀
If you’re a builder looking for a community to learn, collaborate, contribute, and grow with, this is your chance to join us.

@Harri_obi It’s still Day 1.
We’ll keep creating opportunities for builders to grow and scale in global onchain ecosystems.
Nigeria is, and will remain, Africa’s most important crypto market. We know the challenges, but we’ll keep showing up and building through them.
The work continues.
Interesting.
A few months ago, as ecosystems exited the Nigerian market, there was a narrative suggesting that Nigeria was not viable for blockchain ecosystems to thrive.
We have our challenges, but Nigeria remains Africa’s largest crypto market and one of the fastest-growing globally.
Circle's Arc, Stellar, Solana's SuperteamNG and a handful of others are still doing the work of growing global onchain ecosystems locally. And there is still room for others looking to penetrate Africa’s most important crypto market.
How do you know what’s a need, an emergency, or a financial obligation when you start earning well? 👀💰
When should you spend, save, invest, support family, or pay your “black tax”?
Not every expense is an emergency. Rent isn’t an emergency. Food isn’t an emergency. Learning to distinguish between your needs, wants, obligations, and actual emergencies is an important part of managing money.
Our latest episode premieres today at 7 PM WAT, where we unpack how tech professionals should think about spending, saving, investing, and building wealth.

A lot of the things we do with money are either for something we’re running from or something we’re running towards. 👀
The first step is understanding yourself and why you make the financial choices you do.
Can you really invest your way to wealth? Our guest believes your skills are often the foundation — they’re what can generate the capital you need to invest and build wealth in the first place.

“The best investment you can ever make is in yourself, especially when you’re young.” — @OlasupoFunke
Do whatever you can to invest in yourself, build your skills, and increase your earning power.
But remember, money is slippery. It’s surprisingly easy to justify spending it once you have it.

Building a strong ecosystem isn't just about the technology. It's about the people who understand it, contribute to it, and build with it.
At Stellar Nigeria, our mission is simple:
→ Onboard more talent into the Stellar ecosystem
→ Empower builders across Nigeria
→ Position Nigeria as a strong contributor to the global Stellar ecosystem
We want more developers, builders, contributors, and founders to have clear pathways to learn, contribute, build, and grow within Stellar.
This is the work ahead. It's still day one🤩
As we begin a new chapter as Stellar Nigeria, our focus is clear: building a stronger ecosystem where developers, founders, creators, and community builders can learn, contribute, build, and grow. https://t.co/S636CX1BWN
We're back. And we've got a new name! 🎉
You might have known us as Stellar West Africa before our old account got suspended, but we're now Stellar Nigeria.
We're starting a new chapter with a sharper focus on the builders, founders, contributors, and communities growing the Stellar ecosystem in Nigeria.
We're still here to make it easier to learn, contribute, build, and grow within the Stellar ecosystem.
This is a new account, but definitely not a new community.
Welcome to the next chapter of Stellar in Nigeria. 💃🏾

You finally landed the tech job... now what? 👀
Should you buy the MacBook, travel, upgrade your lifestyle, or start investing? Is the "soft life" actually soft, or is it quietly keeping people broke?
In this episode, @Timothy_Ovie, @oluwabamikemi, @Geektutor, and @OlasupoFunke unpack the realities of tech money—from your first big paycheck and lifestyle creep to saving, investing, family pressure/black tax, and building long-term wealth.
If you're in tech (or trying to get in) or in a high-paying role, this is one conversation you don't want to miss.
