@IGN What I dislike the most about this is that it pretty much just makes a gap in the history of gaming, where it just will not be a parent that any game actually existed because not there will not be any physical evidence. And Sony can just turn off the server any time lol.
@kick@Asmongold Why does he think his opinion matters ? It’s about having options. Sony just wants to control the digital market so they can control pricing at any point and it totally kills getting cheaper games later than the line. Which is good for Sony but bad for us. That’s why it matters.
@MichaelDoesLife@imsotreacherous I didn’t pre order. It’s digital, if I want it I can just get it when it comes out. Literally nothing to gain from pre-ordering any digital game other than just losing your money months in advance.
@shiestynurse This guy is Tryna excuse a 60 to 80% jump in rent.
If people just didn’t arbitrarily, increase the rent for no reason this wouldn’t be a problem. I get that there needs to be an annual increment somewhere between 3 to 5%
@Rekapzz Buying dlc gets counted as a digital game sale. Like if you buy Call of Duty and then buy the next 10 battle passes. It counts as one physical purchase and 10 digital.
@iCrazyTeddy Don’t try to rationalize it, let’s options for consumers is bad. A game still being worth $80 two years after launch is bad. Thats what they want. To control it all and kill the bargain bin. Kill special deal and retailers. It’s bad for everyone good for them only.
@Evanit0 It’s about having options. Some people prefer ham, pizza, and others preferred pepperoni. Some people just prefer buying physical. It’s about options and really it’s kind of crazy for anyone to support this. It’s very anti consumer.
@PlayStation I hope Xbox comes out saying “ we will still print disks” cool you guys like the friend trade meme from ps4 era. This is so dumb. Are you guys letting ai make choices over there ??
@_var_log@PlayStation You’re dumb. Like just smooth brained. There are games today that ship with two CDs. One has all the content or part of the content to be installed. And the other has the remaining content to be installed and it’s also the city that you use whenever you’re going to play.
@turnedagainst@IGN That’s not true. I’ve bought a few games this generation that just come on the disk and they launch as soon as you hit play without having to download anything.
