@SNJeffBlair@FAN590@Sportsnet Because of his career, you give him the choice. Release or IL for the rest of the season. Either way, he’s not touching the mound in a Jays uniform again
@pimpcaddywillis@WendellGee29@PTSportsFix Known for defence. Funny. Statistically one of the worst defensive SS in MLB history. And don’t bother mentioning the words gold or glove
@r21c13@BlueJays It was 2-1 in the 8th with 2,3,4 due up. Hoffman entered in the 9th up 5-1. Which scenario is more high leverage? The inning is irrelevant. And again, Schneider can only pitch who he has and who is available that day. Who does he use instead?
@r21c13@BlueJays Varland pitched the 8th because Baltimore had 2,3,4 coming up. And Schneider can only use the pitchers he has. He can’t use Varland for multiple innings everyday. Who do you suggest he should have gone to in the 9th?
@Damon98_ Heineman is a backup for a reason. But once Kirk is back. I’d be shocked if they keep Valenzuela up. They want him to play almost everyday, not a backup.
@Expos4ever10@UNCstillgot_it They wanted a guy who would be cheap so they can DFA him once the other three are healthy. He’s not going to the pen. Lauer is.
@JoshuaHowsam There was never a chance that he was going to make 30 starts and pitch 150+ innings this year, even if healthy all season. He’ll make 15 starts tops and a guy like Corbin (or Lauer when everyone is back) will fill in the gaps. Look at Skenes’ rookie year
@BlondeLava@halfway2sane@CTVToronto Reading is hard. Easier just to assume. If you had read it, you would have known the family has paid $$55,000 of the bill with every intention of paying the rest
@AlBezaireLC@BallMechanic “Elite” coaches. Translation: college players that got a shitty education and don’t want to get a real job after they graduate, so they coach and get paid by these programs, and don’t know the game themselves. Parents with more money than brains fall for it and pay for it
@ismarkmcdonald@BallMechanic They aren’t learning anything they can’t get from YouTube, because that’s where most coaches get their info from. Most coaches don’t teach the fine points of the game because they don’t know it themselves
