For anyone wondering, Mastodon got over 70K sign-ups yesterday alone. Let's keep the momentum going! The "public square" of the web must not belong to any one person or corporation!
@DanJSiegel Still beats the old system. I realized last spring I hadn't seen a null ref exception in half a year, and those used to be a constant PITA.
I know the saying about if you only have a hammer, everything looks like a nail. But what if your tool of choice is actually closer to a massive Swiss army multitool? #csharp#dotnet
@buhakmeh I am constantly disheartened by "thought leaders" who think sincerely belittling other languages, frameworks, methodologies, people, makes them look smart. You on the other hand, I always enjoy reading!
@Tyrrrz You are welcome to believe that. "unfit for web apps" is a pretty easily disproved statement based on evidence of existing apps and other's experience, is all I'm saying.
@Tyrrrz As others have pointed out, frameworks matter. Blazor makes web apps with C# a breeze. I know there are ports/alternatives for F#, but it definitely would be a higher learning curve for me, ergo less productive in the short term, and I'm suspicious of the long term benefit.
