@jeffjesaja @sdw This sounds super anecdotal to you. I’ve had several Macs over the last nearly two decades and several different non-Apple displays. I’ve literally never had any problems putting my Mac to sleep.

@ByteReview Of course not, why would you need to upgrade at this point, though? Your oldest machine is like three years old. That's like...less than half the life I expect out of any higher end Mac.

I've got an M1 Pro and I expect it to last me until the M7 or M8 Pro.
