Two reports from @SamLyman33 and @bitcoinpolicy document a coordinated foreign influence campaign against American AI — running through CCP state media, a Shanghai-based Marxist's nonprofit network, and foreign billionaire dark money that has funneled $2B+ into US advocacy infrastructure.
AI doomerism isn't as organic as it looks.
Peter Thiel just named the rule that decided if Elon Musk stayed or left. It has nothing to do with left or right.
Thiel: "I've known Elon since 2000. He was never doctrinaire, but for the first 20 years, he was left of center."
Tesla. Clean energy. Electric cars. About as left of center as it gets.
Then the terms changed.
Thiel: "This intellectual straitjacket where you're not allowed to have ideas. Even if you agree with 80%, it's never enough. You have to be 100%."
No idea on Earth requires 100% agreement. Only power does.
Thiel: "There's just no individuality left whatsoever."
Thiel: "The Democratic Party, it's like the Empire. They're all Imperial stormtroopers. We're the ragtag Rebel Alliance."
Not just him. Every institution that used to reward the odd ones now filters them out before they rise.
He didn't change. The room did.
Thiel: "It certainly seemed incredibly dangerous to me what he did, incredibly courageous."
Thiel: "Elon gave people a great deal of cover."
Not because he won the argument. Because he went first.
The straitjacket only holds you if you believe you need permission.
Everyone still wearing one is calling it a coat.
What are the odds those tiki torch carrying neo-Nazis from Charlottesville would only rally once? Feels like it was an American intel op against Trump. That’s my working assumption.
The cruelest of ironies is that what could finally undo and destroy the Presidency of Donald J Trump isn’t biased Democrat Lawfare, or paid boomer protests, or District Court judges nullifying his Executive Orders, or Rino Republicans refusing to pass his (bloated) Big Beautiful Bill, a “stolen election” or even an Assassin’s bullet.
What could finish off the 47th President’s agenda for good will be if he goes against his gut and drags America into another Middle East quagmire of blood, and wastes more trillions of American treasure like his predecessors.
War with Iran would be Trump’s Afghanistan, his Vietnam, and ultimately his political Waterloo.
Iran is a Theocratic dictatorship that sponsors terror but has invaded not even one country. They are not Iraq, which until relatively recently, was not a unified country but a group of rival tribes before it became a British colonial construct.
Besides Iran being “the crossroads of civilization,” they are much more homogenous, roughly 2/3rds Persian ethnicity and didn’t bend a knee of break when attacked by Iraq during their 10 year bloody war. They fought tooth and nail for their very survival.
And their 90 million people will fight for their survival again.
It was Britain, and (funded by) the United States that overthrew a democratically elected Iranian Prime Minister Mossedegh in 1953 by using hired mobs in a coup that lead
to the installation of the Shah Pahlavi’s 27 year reign of authoritarianism and human rights abuses. All in the name of Iranian Oil.
So here we are again. If American foreign policy is anything, it is immune from learning or even acknowledging recent history from either political party, leaving millions dead in it’s willful ignorance and arrogance.
I am praying that our President doesn’t start another war.
President Trump could still be our Abraham Lincoln but if he ignores history and our recent military misadventures, he could also end up being another George W. Bush, or God help us, a Republican version of Barack Obama.
Yours truly,
Rob Schneider
NYT story on Epstein & Silicon Valley has paragraphs on Elon, Peter Thiel and even photo of JCal who is a total NPC. But Reid Hoffman barely gets mentioned despite having the deepest Epstein relationship and having lied about it. This is the protection that hundreds of millions of dollars in donations to the Democrat Party and anti-Trump lawfare buys you. NYT is a scumbag publication.
It was the best of times,
it was the worst of times,
it was the age of wisdom,
it was the age of foolishness,
it was the epoch of belief,
it was the epoch of incredulity,
it was the season of light,
it was the season of darkness,
it was the spring of hope,
it was the winter of despair.
I think it was Charles Dikkens (with two k’s) who wrote that.
The 1985 Live Aid concerts raised $127 million (equivalent to around $370 mil today) for Famine Relief in Ethiopia. Unfortunately, Estimates say 95% went to the CIA backed Tigrayan People’s Liberation Front to purchase Weapons, not Food 🤦🏻♂️

BESSENT: “The Fed is turning into universal basic income for PhD economists. I don't know what they do. They're never right … If air traffic controllers did this, no one would get in an airplane.” 🤣
