Thanks @TheRealPBarry for discussing the Andrew Thorburn case on #MediaWatch I'm a massive fan of the show. I think on this issue, your analysis is partly right but I don't think you've seen the issue.

Firstly, you're right to point out that the fault lies mainly with Essendon.

cultural institutions can agree to be diverse on. We agree to diversity on race, sexuality, politics and many other issues, but now that the strong majority has tipped away from a socially conservative stance on key issues it's acceptable to demonise those who think differently.
