@SCP21 Oh no! Just listened to the holiday travel difficulties on @alteredgeek and now this?! Sorry that 2023 is off to such a bad start for you. Plus, I know you liked doing paid voice work. That’s a real bummer.
@MikeOxb92035621@hodgetwins Perhaps even one that is much more effective. But, if someone says, “You have a 80-90% chance of X and you say, ‘eh, I’ll take my chances,’ you’re not making a very smart decision. I have yet to see anyone looking at those odds when they amount to extending life say, “Meh.”
@MikeOxb92035621@hodgetwins Every vaccine, medicine, or treatment will vary in the level of protection it offers. So, I don’t see how one can argue that b/c it isn’t providing immunity it provides no value. These vaccines were created in less than a year. There will likely be better, more effective ones…
@MikeOxb92035621@hodgetwins Wrong. “The primary efficacy analysis conducted on 196 cases indicated a vaccine efficacy rate of 94.1%.” That was for the Moderna vaccine. Phizer’s was in the 80% effective range. But even if there was a miscommunication, it was just that. No big conspiracy. Just a slip up.
@StevenBeschloss@TheRickWilson The opioid crisis in the US has killed fewer people in ten years and everyone seems to agree we need to address it. Yet, COVID kills more Americans in a year and people are like, “Eh. It’s no big deal.”
@McknighBrandon @MovieGuy365@Criterion Sure. I can order online, and I do. But I miss being able to pick up released in the store whether it be a new release on Tuesday, or a sale on an item that I have been wanting to add to my collection. It’s just not the same when I order online.
@MovieGuy365@Criterion It’s great to see so many new releases, and so many coming from boutique distributors. But physical media is disappearing from retail shelves as a whole. Some Barnes and Nobles don’t sell movies. Walmart, Target, and Best Buy have all shrunk their movie sections drastically.
