Eton.
Rishi Sunak as Chancellor refused to give £15bn to make up for the catastrophic inequality between state and private schools enhanced by the pandemic.
He gave just £1.8bn instead.
Sir Kevan Collins (charged with the task) then resigned.
Last week the gap in A level results proved the money had been and still is needed.
The announcement today about Eton (not paying most tax due to charitable status) is another Tory kick in the teeth to state schools.
They'll take YOUR taxes...highest tax regime for 70 years....not if you're a hedge fund (no tax paid in UK) or private equity or offshore trust fund beneficiary tho....and give to the already rich...always and for eternity unless you vote to stop it
I remember seeing news footage of Nigel Farage’s Brexit march consisting of about 30 bellends and a whippet…
But no British news coverage of this incredible strike action from yesterday:
The @ElecHighway 24 hour support just tells us that the pumps are down and won’t be sorted until an engineer comes out. Frankly your terrible infrastructure at service stations are a big part of the problem when it comes to convincing people to change to EVs
Absolute disgrace @ElecHighway. Nowhere near enough chargers nor sufficient engineers to service them. Been to three different services to charge, limped to the fourth with 2% to find none of the chargers are working. Had to call out the RAC!
@ecotricity Well they need to hear that in the three long journeys I’ve done in June and July have had issues with charging points at service stations. It’s a legacy of insufficient points from @ecotricity and then obviously poor maintenance since @ElecHighway have taken over.
Shower of shite from @ecotricity. Monopoly on charging points at service stations. Not enough of them and half out of order. Not exactly encouraging people to move to Full Electric Vehicles.
The development of 173 new homes on Airport Road is the first @BoklokUK site in the country
Great to visit with @Bristol_HF and @TomRenhard today to see the progress being made in delivering much-needed homes for #Bristol, with 47% affordable

@BBC6Music a fav Glasto memory for me is Sunday night 2007. Soaking wet, full of mud and trench foot. Jumping around to the Chemicals wearing tatty ponchos and brandishing warm white wine in a plastic bottle! #glasto#banging
Now on 9.5 million views. It’s a good job there is a news blackout. We wouldn’t want anyone to watch this would we @BBCNews@itvnews@Channel4News@SkyNews
