I've not commented extensively on the assassination of @charliekirk11 b/c it's been difficult for me to process. Before leaving for Israel to become @realDonaldTrump appointed US Ambassador, I had to divest from all of my activities, including my weekly & daily TV shows. I turned my daily show over to Charlie Kirk. I've known him since he was 19. He was a guest many times on my television shows. My last daily show was his first as we made the hand off. During the course of our taping it in his Phoenix studio, we talked during a break off-air. He told me that he was "jealous of me becoming Ambassador to Israel" because it was the one thing he would love to do because he loved Israel. I haven't mentioned this publicly as the comments were off air while we were chatting during a break and I didn't want someone to allege that I made up the story. This week, I received a message from one of his team who was in the studio and an eyewitness to the conversation. Having a witness to verify my remembrance gave me comfort in telling what happened. I'm so disappointed in people with a media platform who have disparaged Charlie's name and his views by alleging that Charlie had become anti-Israel. This story in @nypost reveals full text of a 7 page letter Charlie sent to @IsraeliPM which defies the self-serving "influencers" trying to twist the truth. In the 1st paragraph of the letter, he mentions taking over my TV show before offering very sound advice to the Prime Minister about the importance of the "message war" that Israel must play in a world of antisemitic hate. I hope you will read the @nypost story in full including the full letter. Let it hopefully end the vicious lies that Charlie had "turned against Israel" or the even more ridiculous blood libel (stated or inferred) that Israel had something to do with Charlie's death.
Charlie was the most remarkable young man I knew! He was the most well-informed, factually sound, compassionate and articulate person in our culture. He was as authentic a Christian believer as I've ever known. I grieve for his death, but rejoice that his evil, hell-conceived murder has caused millions to turn to his message perhaps out of curiosity, but who have been touched, inspired & even transformed by his message.

Kirk founded the youth activist group “Turning Point USA” and had become a fixture on college campuses. Charlie Kirk, a husband and father of two children, was 31 years old.
