@DrAlanWatson the problem isn't those on steroids for other conditions, its the lack on appreciation for those who are Steroid Dependent who are ignored. Force the bowel to empty is no different to other diarrhoea.

@hormone_doc Colonoscopy as an inducer of steroid stress - I'd never really considered that a potential problem. There must be data out there. I think very few colonoscopists would consider this. And we have plenty of patients on steroids (albeit not very long term).

@Anna_L_Mitchell Totally agree, but the discharge letter from hospital (which is used for a lot of research) doesn't indicate a crisis, just a gastro bug. How can research be accurate when the cause of the vomiting is presumed gastro, not crisis. @WiebkeArlt ?
