Dear Nigerian Government,
When our children were abducted in Oyo, we saw urgency.
You deployed 1,000 forest guards. You provided updates. You showed concern. You pursued the kidnappers and eventually brought the children home.
We applauded you because we believed that response reflected the value you place on every Nigerian life.
So why has the response to the #BornoSchoolChildren been so different?
Their parents have protested repeatedly. They have pleaded for their children. Yet months later, we are still waiting for the same urgency, the same visible effort and the same determination we witnessed in Oyo.
No Nigerian is more Nigerian than another Nigerian!
It is already a failure that these children were abducted. It would be another failure to allow their parents to keep pleading while their children remain in captivity.
Give Borno the same urgency you gave Oyo and #BringBornochildrenHome.
The video showing the dead bodies of those gold miners in Minna are terrible and heartbreaking.
They were or at least largely looked like boys in their teens.
Quite unfortunate.
Reports say more than 30 dead.
Terrorists kidnapping 500+ people and marching them into the bush, or Civil Defence suffocating 30+ boys in custody all in Niger. Honestly I don’t know which one is more unbelievable. This country finds new ways to leave me speechless every day. Even the devil is learning here.
Do y'all remember this post, by the time I was making this post, my cousin had escaped from the bandit custody, the bandit haven't realized this accepted the 3M we were pleading them to collect.
After collecting the 3M, they almost kept one of the people that took the money there, they were trying to be smart with us, the people that took the money there escaped with the excuse of being the sole people sourcing for the money.
They later requested for a new bike with 25 litres of fuel and the house was taxed again to buy the bike and delivered to them to rescue our cousin. We had to negotiate with the bike person to collect half of the money and agreed to be paying installments.
On their way to take the bike to the bandits, my cousin reached out home letting us know he had escaped from their den and he is in a village, we didn't take the bike to them again and began sourcing for a way to go get our cousin.
It was a Fulani that had saved him and even gave him the phone to called home, it was already late and everyone was scared to go into the location the fulani man gave coz its in a bush.
They informed the police and the vigilantes, the police as usual, were also scared to go into the bush with them, it was one of the vigilantes that summoned the courage to go into the bush with one of my uncles to go fetch him from the Fulani.
They came back with him to the nearest town and he was rushed to the hospital coz he couldn't walk again after running in the bush for almost 4 days😭😭
Tell me why the police refused to let us take him home until they extorted my uncles to pay 200k😭😭 they requested 200k for doing nothing and were hellbent on letting our cousin go to Mokwa for further treatment until they had to be paid 100k.
The @NigerianPolice, is this how you people operate?, you are collecting money when the life of the victim is almost going and your men stood their toes neglecting the fact this person was just rescued from and lying almost dead.
We had to source for another money to pay the police, the vigilantes and the Fulani man before he was returned home in the early hours of today.
He had been taken to the hospital and receiving treatment, everyone is coming to greet him and he can't even open his mouth to talk, he has been crying 😭😭😭
Everyone has been crying too, I pray Nigeria never happened to anyone especially in the hands of this kidnappers.
We’re watching in real time families and communities who have never seen millions in their entire lives being forced to gather that same money just to hand it over to bandits as ransom.
Allah ya tsinewa duk mai hannu a wannan zalunci tare da yan PR
This insecurity issue should be each and everyone’s business. The people they’re killing and kidnapping are also human beings with dreams like you. The government has failed woefully to secure their lives so it is our responsibility to call their failure.
The attack in Woro, Kwara state is unbelievably horrific. Evil.
May the beautiful souls of those whose name will never be mentioned, rest in perfect peace. Allahu mustaan.

303 students and 12 teachers kidnapped in the catholic school. This is beyond disturbing. We all need to come together and demand better from our leaders, especially our Northern leaders. They have failed us. Silence isn’t golden. Don’t wait till they reach you.
Devastated by news of abduction of school children in Niger State this morning, coming so soon after the Kebbi attack. No child should ever face violence in school, at home, or in their community. Their immediate and safe return is critical. @UNICEF will continue working with authorities to keep every child safe and protected.
Let me brag small. In the picture attached are my grandfather Sen. Iya Abubakar who was the first Northern Nigerian with a PhD in Mathematics. And, My sister Rukaiyah Bashir Ribadu became one of the few Nigerian women to earn the same PhD in Mathematics
Generations apart. Same brilliance. United by the passion for knowedge and service
The latest threat by U.S. President Donald Trump @POTUS to launch military action in Nigeria, allegedly to protect Christians, may sound appealing to some. Still, history has shown this to be perilous.
Whether you are Christian, Muslim, animist, or non-religious, no one should celebrate such rhetoric. The United States and its allies have a long record of military interventions that leave nations more unstable than before. They failed to secure peace in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, or Syria, and they won’t bring salvation to Nigeria through bombs or boots on the ground.
What Nigeria truly needs is not a foreign savior, but legitimate, accountable leadership, one that protects all citizens, upholds justice, and ends the cycles of corruption and violence that have left the nation broken.
@realDonaldTrump does not care about Nigerians not Christians, Muslims, or anyone else. Our deliverance will never come from abroad; it must come from within, through real leadership (not the Tinubus of this world) and national renewal. #RevolutionNow
Terrorists do not discriminate, they kill everyone so does US military intervention. Both Muslims and Christians won’t be spared. May Allah turn their evil plots against them.
