According to USAA, Florida's 2023 tort reforms helped curb what insurers have long described as legal system abuse, reducing litigation costs that had contributed to higher premiums.

Today, joined by Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple, I signed Representative Sawyer’s bill to make the Fortify Homes Program even stronger!
This bill will add a $50 million investment into the program— reducing risk, protecting families, and stabilizing insurance costs.

The insurance & trucking companies weren’t the only victims that were taking advantage of in this crime by attorneys - the participants were directed to get unnecessary surgeries that has permanently damaged some of them. And also, shame on those doctors they worked with..
Question: How can Texas fall behind Florida.
They both have no income taxes.
They both have right to work.
They both have school choice.
Tort Reform......
Florida is passing serious reforms to reduce the cost to every family of trial lawyers.
So is Georgia.

“The 19th JDC’s ruling, along with Express Scripts’ cooperation, allows us to move forward with consistent enforcement of professional dispensing fees for local pharmacies across the state,” said Insurance Commissioner Tim Temple.

@JLRichy Wrong.
Threre are over a dozen individuals who had surgeries who were in a vehicle with no contact. There were sensors on some of these trucks.
I am glad to see justice was served today when two attorneys were found guilty for their role in the multi-million dollar staged accident ring out of New Orleans.
This trial shows how systemic insurance fraud can be, involving all types of bad actors, from attorneys and medical providers to criminals willing to cause accidents on Louisiana roads. These schemes are not only dangerous—they also drive up the cost of insurance for all drivers.
I am committed to working with our law enforcement partners to stop criminals like these and make Louisiana a national leader in the fight against insurance fraud.
