@go_degen23@XorDev@aescripts That's the cool part: you can make the displacement map work however you want by changing the shader code. We just use math to define how we want the pixels to move. So you can turn any shader into a unique Displacement, and even add realistic multi-sampled Dispersion
Added the wormhole #gpuppy to #gpudog plugin that was inspired by phosphor shader of @XorDev

@mjmurdoc@aescripts Thanks 🤩
I get you bro, I edit in Resolve a lot too. However, the pipeline there will be different, that's important to understand, or I'd need to attach some external editor. Since we can't create panels inside the program there.
The new Gutsy #gpuppy-shader in #gpudog forms interesting patterns and animations right inside After Effects

@rennesis@aescripts Overall almost any wgsl online shader (e.g. https://t.co/XmTpOKAqrh) with small code changes or any AI will convert wgsl -> glsl very easily to any editor. But I originally wanted to make the editor on https://t.co/hJ1oa6aozL
Hey guys! Finally my new plugin on @aescripts is out, through which you can write your own shader effects directly in AE in real time! 💻
There are standard shaders but you can save your own too!
It’s called - GPUDog 🐶
Link: https://t.co/r2P17DfsXA
@mjmurdoc@aescripts i really hope this works out too if gpudog has enough demand. for now im doing everything i can to spread it but it looks like its a pretty niche tool like as a budding entrepreneur im not totally sure how to build a product strategy... who knows
@Leophieudieu@XorDev@aescripts Then it should definitely work. If there will be any problems, feel free to open the ticket on aescripts. So I definitely won't miss it
NEW: GPUDog. 20% Off until Jun 20. A growing pack of real-time GPU effects for After Effects. Glitch, distort, color and generative gpuppies rendered live via WebGPU / Metal — plus a built-in live WGSL shader editor for Pro.

@Leophieudieu@XorDev@aescripts You can download it and try it for free, no need to buy it right away. The only thing I haven't done is support for Intel Macs, since I haven't come across users with them in a long time. But if you need it, let me know and I'll make it for you.
@Leophieudieu@XorDev@aescripts I haven't tested it on older devices, but it's built on WebGPU specifically for that reason. WGSL works across a wide range of hardware, even integrated graphics cards. Basically, if Chrome can render web pages on your machine, then GPUDog should work too.

This piece was built on a
@tapnow.ai_official AI edit workflow
Using only Omni Reference
to maintain character consistency
All inserts and transitions
were handled through After Effects plugins
motion mosh / motion extractor / pixel repeat / modulation2 / dropletee
AI handles the speed
editing handles the control
With strong support from TapNow,
this project involved a massive amount
of image and video assets
Final output: 9 seconds
But compared to previous work,
this took way more hands-on effort
AI workflow is never about doing more —
it’s about controlling more while generating less

@motion_mau@LottieFiles Oh! Thanks! I've been feeling down lately since I can't launch a new plugin, and now i'm only dependent on their revenue, but your post was uplifting! thanks!
unpopular opinion: 16GB is plenty if software engineers actually cared about memory efficiency. chrome eating 4GB for 12 tabs is not a hardware problem its a software disgrace. docker consuming 2GB idle is not a feature its laziness. we live in an era where people optimize every single token to save $0.001 on API costs but happily ship electron apps that eat 500MB to display a todo list. if the industry treated RAM the way we treat inference compute - obsessively measuring every byte - 16GB would feel luxurious. the hardware isnt the problem, the software is @adxtyahq
Dropletee + Chromabba in After Effects
Fluid trails with chromatic aberration on the edges. Temporal frame accumulation + distortion, all GPU-powered via WebGPU.

Added a new feature with a progress bar to the new #dropletee version (1.0.9).
Guys I remind you that there's a contest going on where you can get the plugin for free.

One guy asked me to share Dropletee for a mention in a post - and that gave me an idea for a contest 💧
