@kevinblake2011@AtTheRaces@itvracing@GBRacing@HRIRacing a maximum field of 20 representing at least 16 different owners and 16 different trainers. You don’t have to win or even compete in a “trial” to run in the Derby. Where are the 80+ improving 3 year old handicappers? What more ideal stepping stone for the King George V H’cap? 2/2
@kevinblake2011@AtTheRaces@itvracing@GBRacing@HRIRacing There used to be a time when mere mortals like us could regularly feel that we could be competitive in The Derby and indeed win it (Motivator). Your Corinthian spirit is to be be commended and if I have one wish for the next decade it would be to see 1/2
@horsevault We knew it was good, but I wonder if we realised at the time just how bloody good Highflyer and their fantastic team really were. Lovely memories of a wonderful time to be involved with British horseracing.
@BHAHorseracing 1/2 Brant, From the outside looking in you have been steadfast in your interim role and I wish you all success going forward. It feels that the next 3 years are going to be pivotal in the future success and stability of British horseracing.
@McGracing@mjyharris I wonder what path Sea Pigeon would have taken if the International programme had been available during that era. More recently I keep thinking about Collier Hill’s achievements - the opportunities are immense. Connections have an exciting few years ahead of them hopefully.
@nickluck It’ll be interesting to see what the penalty structure will be for previous winners - hopefully no penalties which again might encourage a few classier types to participate - with some big international flat objectives on the horizon this could be a wider trial opportunity.
@nickluck Probably not necessary Nick but hopefully will help to encourage enough others of a high enough quality to run to make it a competitive event (assume this is what connections of CH would prefer) rather than a cakewalk.
If you love the idea of racehorses finding their forever homes show your support by clicking on the link below and voting before close of play this Thursday (Friday latest) ideally for Cru Bourgeois and Alex Embiricos! https://t.co/23HT8gv3dH
Quick shout out to the excellent @JackJonesRacing who trains Mr McLoughlan.
Jack doesn’t get anywhere near enough recognition for his performance with the jumps horses… so here’s a start to that!
Well done Jack, this is a brilliant record! 👏
@SimonHolt3@MCYeeehaaa His two interviews with Peter Savill were so diverse but pitched perfectly. That doesn’t happen by chance but is the work of a skilled broadcaster. 👏🏻👏🏻
