Only 1.2% of Americans hold a PhD. Not because the work is rare. Because most people quit.
To do a hard thing was the point.

What replaces the annual plan isn't a tighter plan.
It's a Loop. Scan, Story, Stake, Steer. Run continuously. Held by the senior team. Treated as the actual job.

By the second week of April, your annual plan is fiction.
Wrote in November. Two-day offsite. Board nodded.
By April: a tariff, a customer reorg, a hire that didn't land — and you're not running the plan anymore. You're rationalizing it.
What none of them had — until now — is the substrate to make this discipline continuous instead of episodic.
Wack ran scenario sessions quarterly at best. The work was always limited by how often senior teams could sit in a room and grind through it.
That constraint is gone.
