@bmciner1@GreatLakeMagyar But that’s the thing….free agency has been a dud the past few seasons because the superstars just aren’t making it to FA…teams are retaining them because they can afford to do so.
#Vikings WR Justin Jefferson on Kyler Murray:
“He understands the game. He understands the defenses. He understands how to put touch on the ball, just enough to where it gets to where it’s gotta go, without making it difficult for us. He understands the game a lot more… he kinda throws the ball before you even get out that break… he’s a smart guy, and he’s a competitor.”
(Via @KFAN1003)
@bmciner1@GreatLakeMagyar the cap is continuing to go up, They won’t need to do that soon. Even if people start getting Kirill contracts with more normality….The cap is going up faster than the amount of players the nhl has that would garner that type of contract.
@GreatLakeMagyar@bmciner1 Yea 8 years prob not best move…but he’s a Michigan man in his core he wanted to win there.
He’s losing his prime and the team hasn’t made the playoffs since his rookie year. Datsyuk & Zetterberg were still playing.
No argument from me on the ghost in 2nd half though.
@komakazy21@MNState0fHockey I don’t think the wilds package is that great and there is room to negotiate but that is 100000% a fair starting point.
Also if the Wild had to compete with other teams that could offer a haul you’d have a leg to stand on.
But it’s 3 teams lol.
@GreatLakeMagyar@bmciner1 I think that relationship has just went sour & now it’s turning petty.
Hasn’t played a meaningful nhl game in his 20’s. Last time Larks was upset Yzerman got him to calm down telling him he’s gonna build a team that can compete & he hasn’t….hard to fault Larks there
@GreatLakeMagyar@bmciner1 I can see it that way. Maybe there’s middle ground like you said if you have a full NMC and request a trade it moves to 10-15 no trade list. So you can make sure you’re not shipped to bum fuck land.
@GreatLakeMagyar@bmciner1 I don’t particularly agree with if you ask out it should waive your NMC.
If you don’t want players to use them like this don’t give them out like it’s candy on Halloween.
No other professional sports league hands them out like this.
@GreatLakeMagyar@bmciner1 The only thing that needs to change is how willy nilly these teams are at handing them out…not every player deserves a NMC. And if you did earn it, it’s your right to use it.
@MNState0fHockey@komakazy21 Yea thats asinine man…some fans drink the koolaid a little too much. In 10 years this same dude will be saying the same things he’s saying about Larks only it’ll be about Charlie Strammel when he’s forcing his way out of Detroit lol
@amato_mike@DerekMackey13@realGB94 That is something I feel like more people should be connecting the dots on….The Wild aren’t on this list if Hughes doesn’t intend on being in Minnesota.
They’re just not & you’ve listed multiple reasons why they wouldn’t be without him.
Quinn is staying in Minnesota
@MNState0fHockey@komakazy21 Also who’s to say that losing those 3 pieces wouldn’t “hurt” we’d essentially be punting on our prospect pool.
I feel like he’s just a redwings fan that doesn’t want to rebuild again so is expecting some unfathomable return.
If you don’t want prospects we have Hartman/brodin
@komakazy21@MNState0fHockey And that’s his right to do so….but it’s also how you get no one to be interested to come play for you.
Yzerman has no power in any of this. He gave that away when he gave him a full NMC then promised he’d build a playoff team around him and hasn’t done anything close to it.
@komakazy21@MNState0fHockey Dylan Larkin would be a 2C on 2/3 of those teams lol
Making him a “middle 6 player”…
That’s a problem with fans they over value their own players. The redwings aren’t getting a Quinn Hughes esque return for a 30 year old who ideally is a 2nd line Center.
