He has been a parent to his own children alongside countless orphaned elephants, giraffe, and rhinos over the many years he has been with us. He says: "Rhinos need small feeds, they sleep a lot, and they are all about scent, senses and hearing – and they are content alone with their Keeper. Elephants take a long time to feed, do not sleep a lot during the day, and they are action-oriented and very social." They also, as Mwinzi shows, get jealous too!

He adds: "I have my two-footed family and my four-legged family. I think it is making people back home appreciate elephants, rhinos, and other animals through the stories I tell."

Earlier today at 1112 hours, the Prinz Eugen cast off her moorings at Becken 4 in Gotenhafen. Bismarck followed at noon from Seebahnhof pier. Both ships anchored in the roadstead to refuel. A new Atlantic operation has just begun.

Yesterday evening we loaded 30 of the Ridglan Farms beagles into the DogeVan and transported them to Big Dog Ranch Rescue’s Alabama location.

Dogs that were once destined for research labs are now getting their first taste of freedom.
